According to statistics, 80% of companies do not have any disaster recovery plan or do not backup at all. Many realize data backup and protection importance; nevertheless they often pay attention to this issue residually. Our cloud service offers a new approach to solve this problem.
How it works
Within the framework of this service, you get the ability to back up your critical data (files, databases, OS configuration) into the computing cloud of IT-GRAD Company in order to provide their integrity and security. You receive distributions of special agents to back up the required applications data. Availability of agents allows to ensure the data integrity (consistency) in the backup. Transfer of the backup data is performed through the Internet channels either through dedicated communication channels in a protected (encrypted) way.
Backup service cost depends on size of the data you want to reserve and on parameters of their storage (number of copies).
Hybrid Backup Model
In case the customer has equipment which can be used to store backups it is recommended to use a hybrid backup scheme.
In this case, management server is still in the public cloud but the customer gets the opportunity to choose the backup data storage space depending on various parameters. For example, on the backup duration. Thus, you can host operational copies locally within the customer’s site and to send long-term copies to the external cloud.
Hybrid model allows to reduce backup windows and recovery time due to higher local data rates.
Half Hourly Backup
In case the customer uses NetApp data storage system, it is possible to configure the data backup as frequently as necessary. Half hourly, for example. CommVault software, on the basis of which our backup service is implemented, allows you to configure integration with data storage systems snapshots. NetApp also allows to take these snapshots quickly, frequently and without significant performance degradation.
Consistency of Data of Different Types
Within the service you will be able to back up data of the following types:
- files,
- OS configurations,,
- databases (Microsoft SQL, MySQL, Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, and others.)
- applications data (Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, Lotus Notes / Domino, SAP, EMC Documentum, and others.)
- virtual machines images (VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, Xen, and others.).
Independently, you will be able to:
- install client software on your servers and workstations,
- determine the list of data to be backup,
- define the schedule and frequency of backups,
- indicate the storage depth (for which period)
- recover data.

Disaster Recovery Plan
Disaster Recovery Plan will allow to protect your company’s business from IT infrastructure malfunctioning and possible information loss. Our cloud data backup service provides high availability and security of your data. It is 75% more efficient and profitable than traditional recovery plans.
Traditional recovery plan involves organizing the second, preferably geographically remote platform. In order to organize it you often have to deliver almost the same set of equipment as for the first platform. It is necessary to provide site infrastructure, to purchase software to backup, to set up and run everything. With that, the costs of creation and maintenance of the second platform can be comparable to the costs of the main platform. This means that providing business continuity can take up to 50% of the total IT budget.

Cold and hot backup
Cold backup. Only your data themselves are copied into the public cloud on a daily basis (or on a predetermined schedule). In case data recovery is needed, you can unload them to your platform via communication channels or in case of unavailability of the main platform you can rent the desired amount of resources right in the cloud. Recovery time (RTO) usually multiples of days.
Hot backup. All the data from all your servers are replicated into the public cloud continuously or on a schedule. With that, computing resources are reserved in the cloud in advance, which can be run, if necessary, in semiautomatic mode, nominally on mouse click. Recovery time (RTO) usually multiples of hours in this case.
